I am interested in buying a Super 8 camera and I was wondering if anyone has any good advice for me before i shell out the money. I've seen some camera's on E-bay selling for as low as $5. and as much as $500

It sort of depends what you are looking for and what are the key features you will need.

    1) Definitely get a camera with 24 fps.

    Here are some important questions.
    1) Do you plan to record sound while filming? Some cameras (Nizo 6080, 4080, 6056) are much quieter than others.
    2) Do you need slow motion?
    3) Do you need time lapse or fast frame motion?
    4) Do you want manual exposure? (most likely yes.)
    5) Do you want a camera with interchangeable lenses? (only the Beaulieu cameras can do this with a C-mount lens)

Cameras that most people tend to like are the high end Nizos (6080, 6056, 4080, pro), the Beaulieus, or high end Canon (1014, 814). Most of these cameras will cost anywhere from $150 and up.

    Good luck,
    Scott
